This year has so far been excellent for Touraine Wines with a long warm damp spring and hot July August, Vendange started after 20th September and was completed Oct 25th. Touraine Primeur was launched the third weekend in November, starting with the ceremony in Tours on the Wednesday night. Everyone is saying that 2004 is an excellent year.
Now is the time to buy 2003 Chinon, Saumur and Bourgeuil, it was a superb year, don't miss it! Looks like 2004 will be even better - first releases in the spring.
2003 Sauvignon from Oisly coop is superb, as good as Sancerre is most years - highly recommended.

Touraine Primeur was launched on Wednesday 19th November; Montrichard wine festival is Sat and Sun 22 and 23 November. Be there!!. Stay in one of your lovely cottages and see everything! This year promises to be good.
2002
Touraine Primeur was launched at midnight in Tours on Wednesday 13th November; Mpntrichard celebrated on the Saturday and Sunday following. 2002 was a very long growing season and wines have generally done well; you can buy Gamay and Sauvignon direct from the viticulteur while you are staying near Montrichard at our cottages in St. Georges sur Cher and Bourre.
