Our lovely cottages in the beautiful Loire Valley are open all the year round. Bookings normally, through the summer, are from Saturday to Saturday; however we are very happy to be flexible over booking dates.
We are still booking Spring Breaks and can offer you long weekends and part weeks up till the school summer holidays. Inclusive package with Eurotunnel booking.
You have a choice now of 12 cottages dotted along the Loire Valley from Angers in the west to St. Aignan in the east.
Maison Doiseau, Maison de la Grandmère and The Barn are all situated together in a large garden in Vrigny close to Chenonceaux and the River Cher, and on the edge of the vineyards. Our cottages in Vrigny are ideal for individual couples and families, they can provide excellent accommodation for two or more families to holiday together. Similarly, Maison la Grange and Maison Girard in Cigogné, just south of Blere and about 10 miles from Tours are next door to each other.
Maison Requin in Bourré is on the slopes behind the village, and is a secluded location for a couple to holiday alone or with a baby.

For more information - Vrigny, Bourré, Cigogné,
The two cottages and barn have been lovingly restored to the highest standard to reflect French tradition and retain the original features of the houses. The cottages are available separately or combined and, whilst providing a lovely situation for those who want a peaceful holiday off the beaten track, they also provide a wonderful opportunity for families or several couples to holiday together. We can sleep 5 couples easily and up to 14 persons.
The cottages are situated where village meets vineyards; they have extensive gardens with walnut trees and fruit trees, and plenty of parking. We have bicycles available for the enthusiastic! Chateau des Couldraies, famous as the hunting lodge for Henri II and Diane de Poitiers, and now offering wine for sale, is just across the vineyard. The area is perfect for walking and cycling, and is centrally placed for visiting the lovely Loire Chateaux.
Vrigny is in St Georges sur Cher, a typical french village which has good shops including a baker, butcher, charcuterie and a new little supermarket. There is a market on Wednesday and Sunday. Nearby Montrichard and Bléré both have large supermarkets. We are 5km. from Chenonceaux.
Bourré is a pretty village on the north bank of the river Cher 4 km east of Montrichard. It is famous for its network of caves running a labyrinth through the 'tuffe' rock, formed by quarrying to build the chateaux and now used for making the famous 'Methode Champagnoise' - the local bubbly and for growing 'Champignons' - mushrooms; both industries welcome visitors. Our cottages nestle into the hillside behind the main street of the village, where there are restaurants, a Bar, a grocer, baker, and pharmacy. We overlook the Cher valley and have the most wonderful views, we also benefit from the south facing slope with mild winter temperatures and an early spring.
Montrichard is a bustling little town with all the shops you could hope, good restaurants and bars, a market on Mondays and Fridays, a beach and peddloes, a river boat-trip, swimming pool and tennis courts. The main attraction is the Donjon - the ruined chateau, where there is a museum and a wonderful daily show when the eagles housed there are allowed to fly freely above the turrets. 10 km. to the East is Saint Aignan, another pretty little town on the south bank of the Cher, dominated by its Chateau with mediaeval streets, and good bars and restaurants, and an excellent Saturday market. Further along again is Selles sur Cher, again with a chateau and very big Thursday market.
Cigogné is a quiet little village 4km. from Reignac, where there are good shops including a baker, charcuterie and butcher, a pharmacy and a Bar and newsagent; Reignac also has tennis, and is famous for its Labyrinthe or 'Mais(e)' - grown from corn each year with a different nursery theme.
Bléré is 9 km. and is a small town with a market on Fridays and good restaurants including the Cheval Blanc, one of the top restaurants in the region. Tours is 15km. to the north, a large cathedral city with interesting museums and a fascinating old town to visit. Loches is 15km. to the south and is a lovely mediaeval town with narrow streets, overlooked by its interesting Chateau and Donjon. There are good restaurants and bars and a Wednesday market.
